Real Estate Website Compliance In Arizona – Is Yours Legal?

Arizona Real Estate Website Compliance – Broker Logo Goes Where? .

There are a lot of questions circulating around in Arizona about where the broker’s logo and identifying information for a real estate website must be located. It needs to be located above the fold so that whenever any Internet searcher hits your Arizona real estate website – broker site or agent site or team site – from a Google or Yahoo or Bing search that they can tell what real estate broker company the website represents without having to scroll.

The legal reading on this placement is a little vague so Michelle Lind, the legal counsel for the Arizona Association of Realtors – AAR – posted this letter to clarify where the identifying information for the broker must go on a real estate website in Arizona: Broker Information On Website Goes Here.

If you have questions about how to bring more traffic to your Arizona Real Estate Website Compliance contact me and let’s talk about it.

Our First WordPress Training Class In AZ Legal Issues Was A Success

Hello all, we had our first Arizona Real Estate License CE Class with WordPress and Keeping your website legal yesterday. It was a success with 16 attendees and we only had space for 18. We got a lot of great feedback and we could tell that the message was getting through. What we really expressed to our class attendees – why they do not get business from their websites – why they do not get visitors to their websites is because their sites are not properly search engine optimized. It seemed apparent that everyone there got that message.

On to the next class…

Thanks for everyone who attended and thanks to Marti Barnewolt, the owner of the Arizona Real Estate School: Internal Dynamics for helping us to put on the class. Also thanks to Dean Naughton of Great American Title for co-teaching the class with me.

It Is The Night Before Our WordPress Class And All Through House

Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse…

Well, I’m stirring as I’m finishing my final preps for the class. What is cool about doing this class is that it is a culmination of nearly a decade of learning about the Internet, Marketing, Search Engine Marketing, Search Engine Optimization and of course Mortgage and Real Estate websites.

I have spent a ton of time looking at real estate agent websites over the years and so many of them break all the standard procedures for how to get business and how to get found by searchers in the search engines.

I’ll let you know how the first class turns out. We have 17 people registered for the class at last count and the room only holds 20. So with our staff and those registered, we should have a full house.

Attended Phoenix WordCamp

I just attended my first WordPress WordCamp in Phoenix Arizona at the Arizona Grand Resort. There were around 500 people at the event. The event was great!

The speakers included: Alon Waisman, Lorelle VanFossen, Dave Moyer, Jim Christian, Matt Mullenweb (founder of WordPress), Joshua Strebel, Chuck Reynolds, Jayson Cote, John Hawkins, Merlin Mann, Brent Spore, and Clintus.

What was clear to me by what I could hear from some of the attending participants questions is that the broad use of WordPress in commercial situations is a wide open business opportunity.

Who Is Max Laing of ActionCore Inc? SEO Consultant Extraordinaire

Who is Max Laing of ActionCore Inc? Max Laing pretty much taught me everything I know about SEO and then some. Max has a company called ActionCore, Inc. and he is based out of Louisiana. Although with phones, IM’s, Twitter, and the various other ways of staying in touch nowadays, it does not really matter where one lives.

One of Max’s sites: BigDaddyData.com is where you will find a bunch of stuff about cities, movies, restaurants, city and state histories and a lot more. Max has another site called New-Cash.com which is about making money on the Internet. I actually have a few articles in it. A third site of Max’s that deserves special mention is called AllowingSuccess.com. I will not try to explain this site to you other than to say it is about getting what you want in life and the headline on his front page says: “You Really Do Have The Power To Change Your Life!”

Why Have A Website? Your Personal Brand Matters!

A website is a great place to say what you want to say without being censured by those who make the rules at the various social media sites like Twitter, Facebook, WordPress.com (not to be confused with WordPress.org), and the many many other sites too numerous to mention here. With your own site, you make the rules. But there is more to having a website – especially if you want to use your website for making any kind of money.

  • A website gives you credibility
  • A website gives you a place to express yourself freely
  • A website gives you a location to sell anything you want online
  • Your website gives you a place to tie your whole social media efforts together – it is the place to define your personal brand.
